The Viking era: A thousand year Heritage of Discovery and Engagement

In conjunction with the Geneva Public Library Freya exhibit, join Professor Charles Peterson for a short history of the Viking Era and readings from the Viking Sagas.
As part of the Freya exhibit programming, join Professor Charles Peterson for a short history of the Viking Era, and hear selected texts from the Viking Sagas. The sagas describe the Viking experience at L’anse Aux Meadows, the first European settlement in North America. The Viking appreciation of poetry will also be illustrated, and he will discuss examples of modern day Viking spirit.
